Pazhassi Dam: The Pazhassii Dam and reservoir present an awesome scenic beauty. Located 37 km east of Kannur near Mattanur, the site is an ideal retreat for tourists. One can cruise down the river in DTPC boats often crossing small islands inhabited only by birds. An added attraction is the amusement park. The Buddha’s mountain at Pazhassi and the sculpture of Pazhassi King are interesting places to visit. Accommodation is available at the Project Inspection Bungalow and its dormitories.


Muzhappilangad Beach: is a drive-in beach in the state of Kerala in southwestern India. It is located parallel to National Highway 17 between Calicut and Kannur
The beach is about 5 km long and curves in a wide area providing a good view of Kannur on the north. Local laws allow beachgoers to drive for a full 4 km directly on the sands of the beach.
Kottiyoor: This place, 60 km away from Kannur town, is famous for its Siva Temple situated on the banks of the Bavali river. Thousands of devotees attend the temple’s annual 27-day festival during May-June.
